The UAE: One Year In…

One year ago today, Matt and I did the craziest thing and moved to the Middle East.

“One year?!! Where has the time gone?!”

EXACTLY! Where has the time gone? In some senses, it seems like we only got here yesterday…but when sitting down and talking to Matt about it, I realise that there are so many things that we have simply adjusted to, and things that are now part of our every day lives that we would have never of thought of before…

CRYO Therapy, Abu Dhabi

If you’re anything like me, you’ll know that we don’t really have the time for aches, pains, DOMS or injuries. Working out 5 or 6 days a week, with a full time job, an apartment to look after, a blog to keep updated and a life to live doesn’t exactly give us much time to rest, recover and recuperate either. So when I heard of CRYOtherapy opening up in Abu Dhabi, I was well and truly interested.

What is CRYOtherapy?

CRYOtherapy is an innovative treatment where the body is briefly exposed to very cold temperatures ranging from -140°C to -180°C in order to stimulate multiple health, fitness, weight-loss, healing, and beauty benefits. Week three of The PT Diaries, and everything has been going strong so far, so I wanted to carry that on. The one thing that I did know was that we were going back to the UK to see families so the weekend might not be as on point as the rest of the week, but I would try and make that up with a bit of exercise!

Remember that I am on My Fitness Pal, so you can see all of my meals and snacks on there.

Remember, I’ve been given my macros by the lovely Simone (find her here) on the basis that I am working on fat loss, and we will see at the end of the month whether the macros along with the workout plan are working for me!
