This week started off well, and then I had a little wobble towards the end, with some late night snacking taking over because of my bad mood. My exercise has been on point though, and I’m glad I got most of it done at the beginning of the week so that I could have the weekend off of exercise, letting me focus on some other stuff and just chilling out a bit.
I’ve had a really tough time this week with Matt being away. Everything has just seemed all over the place since we first got here fifteen weeks ago, and I guess it all came to a big crescendo. We lived out of a hotel for the first two months of being here, and then when we finally got into our apartment, it was time for a visit from my mum and sister. As soon as that was over, Matt flew back to the UK to surprise his family and then only came back here to fly off again with work. I don’t know what it is, but I feel so supported when he’s here, but when he goes away it all changes. In every day life I’m super strong and independent and get on with things – but I guess it’s coming back to Matt that glues it all together. Not really knowing anyone here in Abu Dhabi doesn’t particularly help!! Cry over…

That Good Week…
– Getting through all the workouts STRONG

– Being able to enjoy a healthy lunch at the Golf Club when I was there for meetings all day

That Bad Week…
– Missing Matt throughout the week
– Having some extra (unnecessary) snacks on the weekend
– Eating a WHOLE JAR of peanut butter in a week!!!! OOPS
…Is Week 8. That means I am almost two thirds into this 12 week programme, and only 5 weeks away from my blog being ONE YEAR OLD!! How exciting! I don’t think I’ve made as much progress as I think I should have, but I know that it’s all down to me! I can’t resist sometimes and I go out and eat what I want etc etc. If I was super-strict 100% of the time, I just don’t know if I’d actually be happy… so I think it’s all about the balance. Hmmmm….
With Matt back, everything should be a bit more ‘normal’. I am going to spread my workouts out this week, but make sure I get them all done. I’ve realised that it’s not all that hard to get the 8 workouts done in a week, and now that I’ve managed to do it, I know that I can do it again.
Food-wise: I’ve got a good plan this week, with some different and new dishes on, so I am looking forward to cooking them up.
