That Review: Primark’s Fitness Range – Clothing

A couple of months ago, I saw a picture on my Instagram feed of some workout clothing which I loved the look of. I asked the user where they were from, and to my surprise, she said that they were from Primark!! So, off I trotted to buy some (queue posey photos)…

It’s pretty, right?

So, to help some of my readers out, here’s my review on these workout items from the one and only Primarni…

I bought both the bottoms and the sports bra in a size 8, which is the dress size that I have got down to now (yay me!!) and me being me, I didn’t bother trying them on in store, I just took them straight on home…

That Cost…

Being Primark, you assume correctly that these items were nice and cheap…

Bottoms – £11

Sports Bra – £4

That Look…

I think that this range of work out clothing from Primark looks really great. I’m a lover of black gym-wear (ninja style) but I really love the flashes of colour on the bottoms, and the matchy matchy sports bra really sets it all off! There are different colours available in the range (and matching trainers if you fancy them), with loads of difference accessories to boot!

That Fit & Feel…

I like my workout clothes to be tight, so that I feel all held in when I’m exercising. I always wear a baggy top over my workout gear to cover up my insecurities, but underneath, I like to feel all held together.

Bottoms – These are really lovely and tight, and the big thick waist band really holds my stomach in when I’m exercising. I’ve found that a lot of running trousers really don’t have the support at the top, and HIIT training on the treadmill causes them to fall down, which is really annoying when you’re trying to stay in the zone, but these definitely don’t. Nice and secure all the way through. They also have the handy pocket on the back to hold Ipod & keys etc.

Sports Bra – Once again, this sports bra feels almost compression-like, really holding me in and making me feel secure. It’s got padding in the front, which is great – you just need to watch out when you put it through the wash as they do seem to move around a little. You could totally take the padding out if you didn’t like it though. The thin straps are great for me as I don’t like too much material on my shoulders, and they are adjustable as well, so ideal for an ever-changing body.

The dry-fit material of both the bottoms and the sports bra really works, and I don’t feel a build up of sweat in the garments throughout a heavy workout – ideal!

That Round Up…

Considering that Primark is very much a brand known for it’s low prices and bargain pieces, this range of workout clothing really does feel like something from a more up market sports clothing brand. It’s durable and can go through the wash a gazillion times without looking worn, and it’s yet to lose any stretch-ability or bounce-back-ability through so much use.

If I were you, I’d get on down to your nearest Primark and pick up some nice new gym gear… you can never have too much, right?
