Oh my. I can’t believe it’s that day again. To say that this month has been a struggle is an understatement. Even though everyone has been on that New Year Hype, it’s really hard seeing people falling off the wagon and me wanting to join them in cake a biscuit heaven!
The week leading up to today has been nerve wracking. I have been pretty meticulous about the food I was eating, making sure I hit the gym every day (and HARD) and being all-round whingy and annoying. I would now like to apologise to everyone that may have crossed my path in the past few days, but let me tell you, it’s all been for a great cause…
I am SOOOO happy with that! 5.5 inches down in the last month!! And it wasn’t even a full month – from the 6th to the 30th – I’m amazed!
So all in all, from day dot, this is what has changed:
- Weight – Say bye bye to 8 pounds
- Belly Measurement (biggest part) – 4 inches smaller
- Belly Button Measurement – 4.5 inches smaller
- Waist Measurement (smallest part) – 3 inches smaller
- Thigh (biggest part) – 1.5 inches smaller
That’s a total of 8 pounds and thirteen inches lost! You don’t realise how happy I am!!

If I wasn’t happy with the progress then I would expect someone to whack me around the head – hard! I’ve got a little way to go with the belly fat – but I can’t deny that I’m not completely overwhelmed with the inch loss this month. I had to double check the measurements – but they were correct!!!
The Plan Going Forward…
The plan going forward is the same as last month – to decrease my body fat percentage and up my muscle. I will be posting what my body fat percentage is when I get up to Matt’s house this weekend (if you remember, I confiscated my own scales 3 weeks ago so I wouldn’t rely on them). When I know what I’m working with then I will be able to really focus on my goals! Getting under 20% bf is my first step, then I will work on it from there.
Me and Matt are running a 10k at Brands Hatch on the 1st March, and so I do need to focus 1/2 of my training this month on that. The second half will be focused on lowering bf%. There are some good training programmes on bodybuilding.com and when I find one that I am going to work with then I will tell you alllll about it.
In the mean time, I just want to tell you guys to not give up. You will get there in the end, and you will see results coming through! Good luck!!!
