I obviously try my hardest to stick to my macros, and planning ahead is the most effective way of doing that, but I am like anyone else – sometimes I just can’t help myself. At the end of my week, my macros ended up looking like this:

Not too bad really! I’m roughly in the area that I want to be. As I do every week, I have planned the next five days of food. I have to make sure I keep mum in mind, as I cook for her every day…. but at the moment, my split is looking at 43% Protein / 35% Carbs / 22% Fats. Not to shabby! I just need to make sure that next weekend sticks with my goals. I’m heading up to Matt’s and he’s being super duper supportive with all of this, so I’m sure we’ll be eating really well.

If you aren’t logging your food already – I urge you to! It’s the best way to see what you’re really eating!

  1. I’ve been adopting the whole “eat less move more” philosophy since Christmas and MyFitnessPal has been a game changer… love that app for keeping me accountable for what I eat, and for making me feel super proud of all the calories I burn getting my butt into gear to do exercise.
I obsessed about it so much that Rich downloaded it…. but then he ate 4 Bourbon biscuits and wouldn’t put them in the app because he felt guilty. That boy has NO will power!!! 😉
Well done you, you’re doing an ace job. x

    1. Thank you so much! It’s a full time job logging and keeping it all up, but I’ve got some amazing support – and loads of people joining me on my way! I sometimes squeeze my eyes shut when I enter the bad things I’ve eaten, but being 100% honest is key! Xx
